PIA's Two-Minute Survey

Equifax made the news when it announced an information breach which affected approximately 140 million Americans. Due to this breach, many people have begun to put freezes on their credit accounts. A consumer-report credit freeze, or security freeze, limits a consumer-reporting agency from releasing a credit report or any information from the report without authorization from the consumer. If there is a credit freeze on an account, and the insurance carrier cannot access that information, the carrier will not be able to process a policy renewal or application. We would like to know if you have seen or heard of any instances where a freeze has had an impact on your agency.
