PIACT names Woodhouse Professional Agent of the Year

HARTFORD, Conn.—Sandra A. Woodhouse, CPIW, owner of Swierad Insurance Associates LLC in East Haven, Conn., received the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Professional Agent of the Year award during the association’s sixth annual Golden Gala, held at Fantasia in North Haven, Conn.

The Professional Agent of the Year award is given to a professional, independent agent who has demonstrated excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service; has shown a personal commitment to professionalism; and has contributed to PIA and the community.

Woodhouse has been involved in insurance for nearly 40 years and is considered an expert by her peers in the agency.

A PIACT member, Woodhouse is active in the industry having been a member of the New Haven Association of Insurance Professionals since 1982, where she has served on every committee, as well as state council director and local president. She also is a member of Independent Insurance Agents Association of Connecticut.

“Sandra has demonstrated a deep level of dedication to our industry. She has earned the respect and trust of her colleagues and customers,” said Mark Connelly, CIC, PIACT president. PIACT is honored to give her this award.”

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
