PIACT honors Stearns as Professional Agent of the Year

HARTFORD, Conn.—Gary Stearns, a producer for the McCollam Agency in Bethel, received the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc.’s Professional Agent of the Year award during the association’s 5th annual Golden Gala, held at the New Haven Country Club in Hamden, Conn.

The Professional Agent of the Year award is given to a professional, independent agent who has demonstrated excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service; has shown a personal commitment to professionalism; and has contributed to PIA and the community.

Stearns has been involved in insurance for over 40 years and is considered an expert by his peers in the agency.

“Gary has demonstrated a deep level of dedication to our industry and his community. He has earned the respect and trust of his colleagues, customers and neighbors,” said Ken Distel, PIACT president. PIACT is honored to give him this award.”

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
