Shippee re-elected vice president of PIACT

HARTFORD, Conn.—Nathan Shippee of Bolton, Conn., was re-elected vice president of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc., at the association’s Annual Convention, March 5-6, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

Shippee is vice president of sales & marketing of Workers’ Compensation Trust in Wallingford, Conn.

In addition to vice president, Shippee serves as vice president of PIACT’s Legislative/Business Issues Committee and as a member of the Executive/Budget & Finance Committee. He also has served as PIACT’s representative for the Connecticut FAIR Plan.

In 2018, Shippee received PIACT’s Company Person of the Year award. The award is given to an individual who fosters a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
