NYSIF invites PIANY to join Producers' Advisory Council

The New York State Insurance Fund has created a Producers' Advisory Council and invited PIANY to participate in a move that will enhance NYSIF's recognition of the important role that producers play in the placement of State Fund business.

Supported by PIANY, NYSIF established the council for the purpose of obtaining guidance and reaction to NYSIF practices that impact producers. The council will serve as an important link between NYSIF and the producer community.

PIANY has been offered four of the eight producer representative seats, who will serve staggered three-year terms and has nominated four individuals. PIANY's four representatives each have a strong understanding of workers’ compensation insurance in New York and extensive experience working with NYSIF. They are: PIANY President Gene Sandy, CIC; PIANY Vice President Fred Holender, CLU, CPCU, ChFC, MSFS; PIANY Treasurer John Tomassi, CPCU; and PIANY Director Justin Fries, CIC, CPCU, CPIA.
