DOBI acting commissioner receives Senate Judiciary Committee OK

Gov. Chris Christie's nomination of Richard J. Badolato to be commissioner of the Department of Banking and Insurance was approved Monday by the Senate Judiciary Committee after a hearing that lasted more than an hour. His nomination now goes to the full Senate for confirmation. Badolato has been acting commissioner since August 2015.
