DFS sends notices about compliance certification requirement

PIANY was made aware that some of its members have recently received notices  from the New York State Department of Financial Services concerning noncompliance with the New York Cyber security Regulation (23 NYCRR 500.17). The notices indicate that the recipient has not filed their compliance certification with New York’s cyber security regulation. If you have not yet filed your Certification of Compliance for the calendar-year 2019, you can do so here.

For those who have filed their compliance certifications and received this notice, PIANY has reached out to DFS to resolve the issue. PIANY will send out information to its membership as soon as it receives it.
