NFIP extended through Nov. 21

President Donald Trump signed a continuing resolution to extend federal funding for large portions of the government—including the National Flood Insurance Program—on Sept. 27.

The continuing resolution already had been passed by the House and Senate and extends the NFIP’s funding at current levels through Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019.

The extension provides Congress more time to consider proposed NFIP reforms, which includes a five-year reauthorization.
