PIANY elects Sandy president-elect

GLENMONT, N.Y.-Eugene L. Sandy, CIC, of Stony Brook, N.Y., was elected president-elect of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York Inc. at a meeting of the associations board of directors today.

Sandy is the director of marketing for the Millennium Alliance Group LLC, in Syosset, N.Y.

An active member of PIANY, Sandy served as first vice president in 2013-14; vice president in 2011-13; treasurer in 2010-11 and as secretary in 2009-10. He currently serves as chairperson of the associations Long Island Advisory Council. Sandy also is vice president of the Company/Industry Relations Committee and is a member of the Executive/Budget & Finance and Government Affairs Committees.

Active in the industry, Sandy has served as a member of the Utica National Customer Council and currently serves on the Merchants Regional Agents Advisory Council.

PIANY is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
