PIANY participates in Albany Scaffold Law Reform Lobby Day

PIANY Director of Government and Industry Affairs, Matthew F. Guilbault, Esq., represented the voices of agents and brokers throughout the state at the scaffold law reform lobby day in Albany on Feb. 12, 2013.

PIANY joined with business, contractor and defense attorney members of the Scaffold Law Reform Coalition to talk with lawmakers about necessary reforms to the antiquated and costly law that drives up project costs, reduces the number of construction jobs and makes liability insurance more difficult to obtain in New York state. PIANY delivered the message that lawmakers in Albany need to act on this critically important reform if we are to have any hope of creating jobs, stimulating economic growth and truly making New York open for business.
