Cathy Trischan entered the insurance business upon graduation from Rutgers University. After her first job as a claims adjuster for a carrier, she moved to the agency side of the business. She held various agency positions including Commercial Lines Manager, Producer and, most recently, Director of Commercial Underwriting. In 2023, she began to work full-time in her training and consulting business. In addition to her work with PIA, Cathy is a regular presenter for various agents’ associations and other organizations. She is a National Faculty member of The National Alliance, speaking in the CIC, CISR, Ruble and ProFocus programs. Cathy has also written numerous articles on various insurance topics. A firm believer that one should never stop learning, Cathy holds several professional designations including CPCU, CIC and CRM.
Kathleen A Fraley

Kathy Fraley retired as the Service Center Director for the Travelers Select Service Center located in Spokane, Washington and Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her teams were responsible for providing direct service to insureds and agents in all states.She has spent 35 plus years in the agents and carrier ranks. Her career started in underwriting and moved to the agency side. She retired and then decided to go back to work as the Director of the Service Center for Travelers.Kathy retired after 35 years from Propel/Bratrud Insurance, as a partner, where she held the position of Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Operations located in the Pacific Northwest. She developed a passion for the industry and feels, it is important to give back to the industry by teaching.Kathy developed a passion for the industry and feels it is important to give back to the industry by teaching. She has been a teacher in the Junior Achievement program for 6 years and enjoyed working with students as they learned about community involvement. She also acts as an instructor and Education Consultant for various programs with The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research in Austin, Texas. She has been in these roles since 2005.Kathy spends her free time skiing in the winter, summer on the lake, and many hours with her granddaughters and family.
Christine Marciano

Christine Marciano is the Western Regional Vice President for FirstChoice - a MarshBerry company. FirstChoice works with agencies to increase & stabilize revenue. With 17 years of industry experience, she has worked in Claims, Agent & Underwriter Training, and Sales. As a seasoned conference speaker, she has been named twice by Training magazine as an Emerging Training Leader. She received Nationwide's CEO Award, holds an Advanced Communicator Bronze from Toastmasters, and is a published author. Christine is active in SITE (Society of Insurance Trainers & Educators) and is a faculty member of the Train the Trainer program, designed to educate insurance training professionals across the U.S. She travels nationally to work with agents, sales managers & underwriters teaching coverage, communications, and sales. Christine has a Business degree from Oregon State University, and received her CIC designation in 2007.
