PIA Webinar overview
Registration fees:
Each Webinar is $25 for members; $50 for nonmembers, per continuing-education credit hour, unless otherwise noted. However, you may have multiple agency participants. If each participant requires CE credits, each person must register on an individual basis.
PIA suggests participants register for a PIA Webinar at least 48 hours in advance, so they receive the confirmation email and links in time to log on to a Webinar.
Please note: Registration processing will not be completed without full payment when the registration form is submitted. Submission of a registration form without proper payment will not hold your spot in a program.
CE credit (when applicable):
CE credits apply to live Webinars only. They do not apply to PIA's On Demand (downloaded) Webinars. Every person who needs CE credits must sign up individually, be at his or her own computer and pay the appropriate registration fee to receive the credits.
On Demand Webinars are not approved for CE credits or E&O loss-prevention credit.
For CE attendance verification, PIA will monitor attendance through polling questions and the chat feature; following the conclusion of the PIA Webinar, you will receive a "Thank you for attending" email, which will include a link to the "Attendance Verification Submission Form" that must be completed within five days of the PIA Webinar. PIA Webinars do not include exams.
100% attendance is required. Registrants must be listening to audio and log onto the visual portion of the PIA Webinar session to receive credit. Participants who log in late; leave early; or miss any instruction time will not receive CE credit, or if applicable, Plan certification or E&O loss-control credit. Late-comers may choose to remain on the PIA Webinar, but they will not receive credit or certification.
Confirmation/RSVP registration process:
Registrants will receive a PIA confirmation via email within 48 hours of completing the registration process. The link provided in your confirmation will include login instructions, CE documentation and additional resource materials.
YOU MUST CLICK THE LINK IN YOUR PIA CONFIRMATION EMAIL to access the GotoWebinar RSVP form, which you are required to fill out to receive your unique login ID. Once you RSVP with GotoWebinar, you will receive another email with login information and this also will allow you to get a copy of the recording the day after the live program. GotoWebinar also will send you a reminder email 1-2 days before the program.
If you do not receive a confirmation email, please call PIA at (800) 424-4244 or email webinars@pia.org.
Start time:
Start time vary, please note start time upon registration and in your confirmation materials.
Cancellation Policy:
Once you have RSVP'd for the PIA Webinar, you cannot cancel your registration. However, as a registrant, you will receive the PIA Webinar ON DEMAND replay of the Webinar for which you registered. If you have not RSVP'd for the PIA Webinar, transfers or cancellations will only be processed up to 5 days after the date of the Webinar and a fee may apply.
PIA's Webinars can be accessed from any computer in an office or at home if needed. Please call (800) 424-4244 if you need assistance.
CE certificates
Within the 2-3 hours following the conclusion of each PIA Webinar, participants will receive a "Thank you for attending" email, which will include a link to the "Attendance Verification Submission Form." If you need CE credits, this form must be completed and submitted to PIA. Upon submission of the form, you will be able to immediately print your CE Certificate of Completion. You will only be able to submit Attendance Verification Forms and print your Completion Certificate for 5 business days following the Webinar. Remember, Certificates of Completion are for your records only; PIA will determine your CE eligibility and notify the insurance department accordingly.
Other certificates
These include E&O, PAIP/CAIP and Flood. They will be mailed to participant's address on file within 2-4 weeks of the PIA Webinar.
CE reporting (when applicable)
PIA will report CE to the appropriate states within 1-3 weeks of the PIA Webinar date. If reporting is needed sooner, please call (800) 424-4244 or email webinars@pia.org to request rush CE. Please be sure to fill out an “Attendance Verification Form” (found in the “thank you for attending” email) so that PIA has the most accurate and updated license information. Please be sure to use the name on your license rather than a nickname.

About the CIC designation:
Geared to experienced insurance producers and company personnel, CIC is a nationally recognized designation program approved for continuing education credits in all states. CIC is one of the most highly recognized professional education designation programs in the insurance industry! The program provides a comprehensive continuing education program to individuals who have made a career commitment to insurance.
To earn the CIC designation, you must complete five CIC institutes and pass a comprehensive essay exam at the end of each course. You may complete the institutes in any order and need not attain a passing grade on the exam before continuing on to the next institute. You have five calendar years from the time you pass the first exam to complete the program.
Once you have earned the CIC designation, an anual update is required. A James K. Ruble Graduate Seminar is one of several options from which to choose.
Helpful study tools:
PROfile allows you to download your CE certificates and other documents, see when your next update is due, view your history and update your contact information.
