Record-breaking year for PIANJ Golf Classic
The PIANJ 36th Annual Golf Classic to support Special Olympics New Jersey was held on Sept. 23, 2019, at Spring Lake Golf Club. Nearly 120 attendees took part in the outing, during which golfers had a chance to shoot a tee shot with SONJ Athlete and Golfer Pauline Naturile on Hole No. 10.
After finishing their round of golf, attendees listened to the Special Olympics gold-medal gymnast, Morgan Hulteen, during the dinner reception. Donations from golf games along with raffle proceeds helped break fundraising efforts—PIANJ presented a check to Special Olympics New Jersey totaling $65,300.
PIANJ is Special Olympics New Jersey’s longest-running sponsor. In fact, PIANJ’s Annual Golf Classic, in conjunction with the New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals and its annual 5K Fun Run, has raised more than $4 million for Special Olympics New Jersey.
