Mr. Fleming, entered the life insurance business in 1971 with the Boston Agency of the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company.
After ten years of personal production, Doug was named to a management position as new agent training supervisor, a position he held for three years before joining Berkshire Life as an agency supervisor, a position he held for ten years. He is currently affiliated with the Boston agency of the Union Central Life, as a brokerage supervisor.
Doug moderates licensing classes for PIIAM of New England and Educational Training Systems of Southborough, Massachusetts.
In 1990, Doug was named to the associate faculty, Insurance and Financial Services of Northeastern University, Boston, Mass. and was also named to the National Faculty of CIC, Austin, Texas.

Patrick Deem began his insurance industry career in December of 1969 with the USF&G Insurance Company in their Louisville, Kentucky Branch Office. With over forty years in the insurance business, Patrick has been an Underwriting Manager, Sales Manager, Excess and Surplus Lines Underwriter, and an Independent Insurance Agent. Patrick has published several articles and conducted numerous seminars on the technical subjects of property and casualty insurance for both Insurance and Trade Associations on a state and national basis.
Currently, Patrick is a Licensed Insurance Agent and Risk Manager in Texas where he founded Risk Management and Insurance Education Services in Austin, Texas, an independent company, which serves insurance companies, agents and insureds as an insurance consultant, educator and in litigation support.
Patrick holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation that he obtained in the spring of 1984. He has been a member of the Society’s National Faculty since 1986, Educational Consultant since 1989 and a faculty member of the IIABA’s Virtual University since 2000.

Tom Sanders has a background in the Insurance Industry that dates back to the late 1970's, where he started in production with a Life and Health Carrier in Iowa, soon after, he worked in training & marketing for the same carrier in Ohio and Michigan.
In 1986 Tom purchased a Property and Casualty Agency to complement his Life, Health, and Group clients.
In 1994 Tom began instructing for Ohio Insurance Agents as well as with The National Alliance. He was awarded the prestigious Jack V. Hedges Educator of the Year Award by the PIA of Ohio in 1999. He also serves on the National Faculty for CIC & CISR. Currently Tom is President of Sanders Insurance Services Inc. In 2016 Sanders Insurance merged their Property & Casualty book with another Agency in the County. Tom now focuses on Elder Care Planning using Life, LTC and Annuity products.

Bettye Hutchison is President of Central Insurance Services, Inc. in Adelphi, Maryland and former Vice President of Truckwriters of Colorado, Inc. in Lakewood, Colorado. After long years of “commuting” across the country on a regular basis, Bettye is taking a break from her ownership and leadership roles in the agency business and will focus on teaching and consulting.
Bettye has a long list of accomplishments and contributions to The National Alliance and to the state associations for which she instructs. Bettye serves as National Faculty and Educational Consultant for CIC, CRM, CISR and Ruble Seminars.
It is accomplishments and contributions like these that have earned her a place as a Charter Member of the “Distinguished Faculty” of the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. As a very deserving member of this elite group, Bettye has “demonstrated outstanding and exemplary excellence in the classroom and beyond. She has continuously given of herself through contributions in time and effort. She loves to travel and meet people all over the country, which is why, as she says “Speaking to other professionals, is not work at all; it is an honor!”
