PIANY recognizes longtime conference manager at LI RAP

GLENMONT, N.Y.—The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State, presented Kim Zielinski, conference manager for PIA Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Vermont with a special recognition award at the association’s Long Island Regional Awareness Program on April 25 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, N.Y.

A graduate of Tompkins Cortland Community College, Zielinski took on the position of PIA conference manager in 2001, after 14 years with the association as an education meeting coordinator. She is responsible for oversight and coordination of the conferences and events hosted by PIA of Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Vermont.

In 2014, she was recognized by PIA of New York and PIA of New Jersey at their joint Annual Conference in Atlantic City for her dedication and service to the association and its members. In 2017, she was featured in Meetings And Conventions magazine about that event.

“Kim continuously strives to provide outstanding service and enthusiasm to our association programs,” said PIANY President Fred Holender, CLU, CPCU, ChFC, MSFS. “Her tireless commitment to PIA, makes her more than deserving of this recognition.” 

The day’s events also included an expansive trade show, and education sessions including Cyber Liability and Data Breach: The Growing Threat Every Business Faces presented by John Fear, CPIA, CISR, in the morning. Errors & Omissions Online: The Same, Only Different, also presented by Fear, was held in the afternoon.

PIANY is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
