PIANJ elects nine to board of directors

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.-The Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc. elected nine insurance producers from around the state to its board of directors, at the associations annual business conference at the Trump Taj Mahal Resort Casino, Atlantic City, N.J.

The following individuals were re-elected to serve for a three-year term, expiring in 2013:

Charles Caruso, CIC, CPIA, of Beachwood, N.J. Caruso is senior vice president of Herbert L. Jamison & Co., LLC/Jamison Insurance Group in West Orange, N.J. An active member of PIANJ, Caruso serves as membership/education chairperson of the Membership Services/Programs Committee. He is an active past president of the New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals, an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of newcomers to the insurance industry. It is an affiliate of PIANJ. Caruso also is a member of the NJYIP Nominations Committee and Project Y Committee, developed to encourage young professionals to join the industry.

Frank Diaz of Wayne, N.J. Diaz is president of the Central Insurance Agency of N.J. Inc. in Guttenberg, N.J. A PIANJ member for more than 10 years, Diaz serves the association as chairperson of the Northeast Advisory Council and as a member of the Business Issues Committee.

Donald LaPenna of Cranford, N.J. LaPenna is president of Donald F. LaPenna Associates in Clark, N.J. Active in PIANJ, LaPenna is a member of the Auto Task Force and the Government Affairs Committee.

Kacy Campion Renna, CIC, of Spring Lake, N.J. Renna is president of Connelly, Campion and Wright in Belmar, N.J. Active in the association, Renna serves as company relations chairperson of the Business Issues Committee. She also is a member of the Coastal Task Force.

Glenn Tippy, CPCU, CLU, of Mountain Lakes, N.J. Tippy is president of Gerrity, Baker and Williams Inc. in Flanders, N.J. An active member of PIANJ, Tippy will serve as PIANJs secretary/treasurer for 2010-11. He also is the Legislative/Regulatory Chair of the Government Affairs Committee and a member of the Executive/Budget & Finance Committee.

The following individuals were elected to serve for a three-year term, expiring in 2013:

Rip Bush of Fair Haven, N.J. Bush is a producer for Keer & Heyer Insurance in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. Active in the association, Bush serves as chairperson of the Central New Jersey Advisory Council. He also is a member of the Coastal Task Force and the Membership/Services Programs Committee. 

Jack Butler Jr. of Frenchtown, N.J. Butler is president of T.E. Freuler Agency Inc. in Somerset, N.J. An active member of PIANJ, Butler serves on the Government Affairs Committee.

The following individual was elected to serve for a two-year term, expiring in 2012:

Steve Radespiel of Hillsdale, N.J. Radespiel is principal of the Insurance Center of North Jersey in Hackensack, N.J. Active in the association, Radespiel is a member of the Northeast Advisory Council and the Government Affairs Committee.

The following individual was elected to serve for a one-year term, expiring in 2011:

William McMahon III, CIC, of Beesleys Point, N.J. McMahon is president of the McMahon Agency with offices in Ocean City, Marmora and Mays Landing, N.J. An active member of PIANJ, McMahon is a member of the Coastal Task Force and the Government Affairs Committee. He also is a member of the Southern New Jersey Advisory Council.

PIANJ is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
