PIACT honors Provencal as Company Person of the Year

HARTFORD, Conn.–Gregory M. Provencal, senior marketing representative for Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp. in Farmington, Conn., was awarded the Connecticut Professional Insurance Agents Company Person of the Year at its Annual Business Meeting at Foxwoods, in Mashantucket, Conn., March 10. Nominated by PIA member agents, this award is presented to an individual who fosters a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service.

A graduate of Babson College (cum laude), Provencal has a decade of experience in the insurance industry: first as a sales associate for Liberty Mutual Insurance, and moving on to Infinity Property and Casualty, before joining Plymouth Rock Assurance Corporation. "Our members have grown to recognize him as a person who has a strong working relationship between his company and their agencies," said Loretta Lesko, CIC, newly elected PIACT president. "His commitment to the independent agency system is evident in the relationships hes developed across the state. I am pleased to present him with this award." Provencal also received Presidents Award from Plymouth Rock in 2012.

Active in his community, Provencal serves as a board member for his local United Way and as past president of the Young Professionals of that organization, as well as serving as a school board member for St. Paul Catholic High School in his home town of Bristol.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
