Andrews elected PIACT vice president

HARTFORD, Conn.-Mary Kay Andrews, CIC, of Prospect, Conn., was elected vice president of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. at the associations Annual Business Meeting, March 12, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

Andrews is vice president of Ion Insurance Corp., in Naugatuck, Conn.

An active member of PIACT, Andrews served as treasurer in 2014-15; secretary in 2013-14 and is conference chair of the Association Programs Committee. She also is a budget & finance chair of the Executive/Budget & Finance Committee and serves on the Glenmont National Alliance Committee.

Andrews is a director of the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 194 and volunteers for St. Anthony Church in Prospect, Conn.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
