Rabbett elected vice president of PIACT

HARTFORD, Conn.—Shannon Rabbett, CIC, of Windsor, Conn., was elected vice president of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc., at the association’s Annual Convention, March 7-8, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

Rabbett is principal of Rabbett Insurance Agency in Windsor, Conn.

An active member of the association, Rabbett was treasurer for 2018-19; and serves as conference chairperson of PIACT’s Association Programs Committee and is budget & finance chairperson of PIACT’s Executive/Budget & Finance Committee. She also is past president of the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals, and in 2013 and 2015, she received the CTYIP Young Insurance Professional of the Year award. This award is presented by CTYIP to honor a member of the association’s board of directors who has contributed a great deal of time and talent to help support the association and its programs. CTYIP, an affiliate of PIACT, promotes the professional and personal growth of those new to the insurance field by providing education and networking opportunities.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
