PIACT honors Hansen as Company Person of the Year

HARTFORD, Conn.-Rick Hansen, senior field representative for Liberty Insurance was awarded Professional Insurance Agents Company Person of the Year at its Annual Convention at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods, in Mashantucket, Conn., March 14-15. Nominated by PIA member agents, this award is presented to an individual who fosters a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service.

Hansen began his career in 1980 with an independent agency in Connecticut. In June 2005, Hansen joined Peerless Insurance as a territory manager.

"Our honorees vast experience in marketing and his relationships with agents and PIA members throughout the state are commendable," said Augusto Russell, CIC, immediate past president of PIACT. "His commitment to the independent agency system and our industry as a whole are evident in the relationships hes developed with his agencies. I believe his success is grounded in his recognition that relationships are the substance of our industry. I am pleased to present him with this award."

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
