PIACT members sought as adjuncts and intern employers for Goodwin College insurance program

Goodwin College seeks adjunct professors to help teach the insurance-focused program for its 2018-19 insurance program. PIACT has worked with Goodwin to develop the program, which provides a pathway for students to gain proper Connecticut insurance licensing, as well as practical experience to begin a rewarding career in the industry.

The program includes a paid internship placed in part-time, paid positions at PIACT-member agencies and other industry jobs, as well as courses on property/casualty; customer-relations management; insurance-software management and social media; and organizational communications. PIACT members already have begun signing up to take students on in their businesses, while helping PIACT-member agencies grow with highly qualified, new employees.
