PIANH congratulates NHID commissioner on NAIC appointment

PIANH would like to extend our sincere congratulations to NHID Insurance Commissioner Roger Sevigny on his appointment to serve as secretary of the Northeastern Zone of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

The NAIC is the U.S. standard-setting and regulatory support organization created and governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the NAIC, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer review and coordinate their regulatory oversight.

Sevigny is an NAIC past president and member of the NAIC’s Executive Committee. He is an active member of the NAIC committees and task forces. He is president of the National Insurance Producer Registry, chair of the Producer Licensing Task Force, and vice chair of the Governance Review Task Force.

PIANH is a strong supporter of the NAIC’s mission to assist state insurance regulators in serving the public interest to support and improve state regulation of insurance. PIANH looks forward to continuing to work with Sevigny in his new role to protect state-based insurance regulation.
