Hundreds of members of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents from across the country traveled to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. April 1-2, 2009, to take part in the 27th annual Federal Legislative Summit. Representatives from PIANY, PIANJ, PIACT and PIANH participated in the event.

Visiting members of Congress provided PIA members the opportunity to express support for continued modernization of state-based regulation, and opposition to federal regulation, as well as calling for reforming the National Flood Insurance Program and establishing a comprehensive and coherent natural disaster program.
