Hudson Valley RAP awards luncheon
| The industry lost a shining example of the professional agent-carrier relationship on Aug. 19 this year, when Long Island's highest-ranking female insurance executive lost her courageous battle to cancer. Camilla Belser, CPCU, vice president and regional manager of Merchants Insurance Group, known to most of us as Cammy, was smart, big hearted and represented our industry with class. In addition to her work with Merchants, she was a pillar of her community, chairing industry events and raising millions of dollars for Long Island's United Way. She had been recognized by The Long Island Insurance Division of UJA-Federation of New York, and she was to be awarded PIANY's 2010 Hudson Valley RAP Executive of the Year award on Oct. 28 this year. PIA will present the award posthumously at that event. |
