Free for PIANY members—Insights from PIANY: What the new Commercial Lines Deregulation means to you
This program is designed for agency principals and licensed producers.
Who should attend: Anyone writing (or that could potentially write) commercial insurance policies in New York State.
Weds., Nov. 9, 2011, 10–11 a.m.
A new law (Chapter 490 of the Laws of 2011, effective November 15th) will create a new category of risk which can be written by New York-licensed carriers free of rate and form approval requirements. It does so by using the existing Free Trade Zone (Article 63) provisions, and adding a new, “Class 3” category within the Free Trade Zone (FTZ).
As soon as PIANY members see the words “Free Trade Zone,” they may think, “Hey, this won't affect MY business.” But unless you write strictly personal lines, this may not be the case.
Participate in this free, one-hour Webinar which will explain how these new provisions enable risks to be written by specially-licensed FTZ insurers.
