The Basics of Cyber Liability and Data Breach

Explore the new exposures and language of e-commerce involving data breach laws and cyber liability. Participants will leave with a fuller understanding of new electronic communication and the exposures to loss this new form of communication creates. This is a basic concepts exploration of our new technology and the problems it creates for agencies and insureds. The eight cyber insuring agreements are introduced.

This class is designed to help participants understand legislative and Department of Insurance regulations relative to insurance on Connecticut's coastal properties. It has a limited section on recent changes to the National Flood Insurance Program through FEMA.
