The Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire Inc.'s Fall Education Festival was held on October 7, in Concord.
The day-long education and networking event drew over 75 insurance professionals and featured networking events, company award presentations and education sessions instructed by Bruno Falvo, CIC, CPCU and Irene Morrill, vice president of technical affairs at Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents.
Fall Education Fest offered four Continuing Education Unit-approved sessions from which participants could choose. Morning selections included Errors & Omissions Loss Control By Example, with Bruno Falvo, CIC, CPCU, and Personal Lines Q&A (auto, residential, umbrella and flood issues), with Irene Morrill, both of which were approved for three general education credits .
At the conclusion of the awards luncheon, participants had the option of earning three additional CEUs at both Employment Related Practices Liability Exposures & Coverage Comparison, with Bruno Falvo, and Ethics and the Insurance Agent, with Irene Morrill, which also offered three ethics credits.
The annual PIANH Company Awards were presented during the networking luncheon. Insurers that consistently demonstrate outstanding performance in the eyes of the agents that represent them were recognized for their standing in the Company Performance Survey and their support of PIA and independent agents.
The following companies were honored at the luncheon:
Company Award for Overall Excellence—Concord Group;
Company Award for Excellence in Claims Handling —Andover Insurance Co.;
Company Award for Excellence in Commercial Lines —The Hanover Insurance Group;
Distinguished Service Award — Mt. Washington Assurance;
PIANH Company Award of Excellence in Personal Lines —The Commerce Insurance Company; and
PIANH Company Award for Support of the Agency System — MMG Insurance Co.
“Winning companies are known for their support of agents and they received high scores on the PIANH Company Performance Survey, which gauges insurance producers' views of their carriers and gives agents the opportunity to share opinions on their companies' handling of claims; products and pricing; technology; underwriting and more,” said Lisa Nolan , CPCU, president of PIANH. “I was delighted to share the good news that compared to last year, agents rated their carriers higher in nearly every area of the survey.”
The day concluded with the opportunity to network and be seen during a cocktail reception for attendees and the company member sponsors which ensure the success of this event with their generous support.
