PIANY elects Holender vice president

GLENMONT, N.Y.–Fred Holender, CLU, CPCU, ChFC, MSFS, was elected vice president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New York Inc., at a meeting of the associations board of directors today.

Holender is director of administration for Lawley Service Inc., in Buffalo, N.Y.

An active member of PIANY, Holender served as a member of the board of directors from 2013 and is chair of the Company/Industry Relations Committee and is a member of the Government Affairs and PIANY Political Action committees. He also is chair of the associations Buffalo Advisory Council and is the team leader for the western New York legislative office visits.

Active in his community, Holender is the current president of the Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Association. He also has served on several not-for-profit boards, taking on committee and leadership roles.

PIANY is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
