PIANJ honors Caro as Company Person of the Year

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.—Teresa Caro, senior vice president, New Jersey regional manager of Selective Insurance Co., was awarded the New Jersey Professional Insurance Agents Company Person of the Year at its Annual Conference held at Harrah’s in Atlantic City. Nominated by PIA member agents, this award is presented to an individual who fosters a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service.

Caro joined Selective in 1978, and has held a number of key field underwriting positions within the organization, including vice president of Field Operations and most recently served as vice president of Underwriting for Selective’s New Jersey Region. She holds designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter an Associate in Underwriting and a Certified Insurance Counselor.  She is a member of the CPCU Society, the Society of CIC and the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New Jersey Diversity Task Force.

Active in her community, Caro is a member of the Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club and the Adams Hollow Community Garden.

"Her commitment to the independent agency system is evident in the relationships she’s developed across the state. I am pleased to present her with this award."
