CTYIP honors Rabbett with Young Insurance Professional of the Year award

HARTFORD, Conn.–The Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals and Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. presented Shannon Rabbett, CIC, with its Young Insurance Professional of the Year award today at PIACTs Annual Business Meeting at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn. Rabbett is principal of the Rabbett Insurance Agency in Windsor, Conn.

This award is presented by CTYIP to honor a member of the associations board of directors who has contributed a great deal of time and talent to help support the association and its programs. CTYIP, an affiliate of PIACT, promotes the professional and personal growth of those new to the insurance field by providing education and networking opportunities.

"Shannons tireless commitment to CTYIP and the industry as a whole is to be commended," said Nicholas Ruickholdt, CPIA, president of PIACT YIP. "She has earned the respect from her colleagues and customers that she deserves. CTYIP and PIACT are proud to present her with this award."

An active member of CTYIP, Rabbett will serve as immediate past president for 2015-16. She also is conference vice chair of PIACTs Association Programs Committee.

The CTYIP is an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of newcomers to the insurance industry. It is an affiliate of PIACT, a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
