Canady wins PIANY scholarship at MetroRAP

GLENMONT, N.Y.–The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. will present Cathy Canady with its prestigious Bernard I. Kozel Memorial Scholarship, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Metropolitan Regional Awareness Program at the New York Marriott in Brooklyn. Canady is an account executive for Completely Covered Insurance Agency in Massapequa, N.Y.
     PIANY presents the award in memory of Bernard I. Kozel, a long-time member of the insurance profession, to a member who is a full-time insurance professional with less than five years of experience in the industry. Canady will receive full tuition to two courses conducted by PIANY toward the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation.
     “Cathy’s extraordinary work for her customers is a positive reflection of the independent insurance agent field,” said Michael Skeele, CIC, CPIA, PIANY president. “We are pleased to present her with this scholarship.”
     PIANY’s MetroRAP also includes an expansive trade show, and timely education sessions on Cyber Liability in 2013–The 21st Century Peril in the morning, hosted by Cathy Trischan, CPCU, CRM, CIC, ARM, AU, AAI, CRIS, MLIS. Trischan also will instruct E&O–Practical Solutions for the Insurance Professional in the afternoon.
