NYS issues Disaster Response Report Card

New York state has issued a Disaster Response Report Card, which lists the number of claims each insurance company has received from its policyholders. This report is updated frequently.

As of Jan. 23, 2013, 385,292 claims have been filed and 244,192 have been closed with payment.

The report card also includes information on claims closed without payment; average time (in days), claims report to inspection; average time (in days), date of inspection to date of estimate; average (in days), date of estimate to payment; number of adjusters working in field on losses related to Sandy; complaints; and complaints as a percentage of claims.
