Andrews elected PIACT treasurer

HARTFORD, Conn.-Mary Kay Andrews of Prospect, Conn., was elected treasurer of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. at the associations Annual Convention, March 13-14, at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn.

Andrews is vice president of operations for Ion Insurance Corp. in Naugatuck, Conn.

An active member of PIACT, Andrews served as secretary in 2013-14 and is legislative chair of the Legislative/Business Issues Committee. She also is a member of the Executive/Budget & Finance Committee and serves on the Glenmont National Alliance Committee.

Andrews is a director of the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as treasurer of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 194 and volunteers for St. Anthony Church in Prospect, Conn.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
