PIANJ names Vowteras Professional Agent of the Year

TRENTON, N.J.–Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey Inc. will present William R. Vowteras, CPIA, with the Professional Agent of the Year award at the associations Annual Business Conference at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, June 12-14, 2011.

"Throughout his career, Bill has demonstrated a deep level of dedication to our industry. He has earned the respect and trust of his colleagues and customers," said Donna Cunningham, CPIA, president of PIANJ. "PIANJ is very pleased to give Bill this award."

Vowteras is an owner of Fraser Brothers Group LLC in Edison, N.J., and Kennedy & Ward Insurance Agency in Eatontown, N.J. and is the first, second-generation president of PIANJ. His father, William G. Vowteras, CPCU, served as president of the association in 1986-87.

An active member of PIANJ, Vowteras was president of the association for 2009-10; vice president for 2006-09 and treasurer in 2005-06. He also was secretary of the association from 2003-05. He is chairperson of the Nominations and Auto Task Force Committees. Vowteras also is a member of Executive/Budget & Finance and Government Affairs Committees. He also is a member of the PIANJ/NJYIP Recruitment Task Force and a past president of the New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals, an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of newcomers to the insurance industry. It is affiliated with PIANJ.

PIANJ is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
