PIACT names Walsh Committee Chairperson of the Year

MASHANTUCKET, CONN.-The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. presented Teri Walsh, vice president of Sachs, Walsh Insurance in Westport, Conn., with the Committee Chairperson of the Year award today during the associations Annual Convention at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn. Walsh was honored for her service as Convention Committee chair. The award honors the PIACT volunteer who best demonstrates dedication and effort in chairing one of PIACTs committees.

"As an active member of the association, Teris contributions to PIACT are numerous and have helped to strengthen the organization," said newly elected PIACT President Howard Olderman.

In addition to the Convention & Association Programs Committees, Walsh also serves as a member of the Recruitment Task Force and as an ex-officio member of the Western Advisory Council.

Active in her community, Walsh is a member of the Kiwanis Club and the Westport Chamber of Commerce.
 
PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
