The Hanover wins PIANH Company Award for Excellence in commercial lines

CONCORD, N.H.–The Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire Inc. recognized The Hanover Insurance Group with the Company Award for Excellence in the category of commercial lines pricing and coverage. The company was presented with the award at the association’s Fall Education Festival, held in Concord.

The Hanover Insurance Group received the highest praise from its agents overall concerning service to commercial lines in the PIANH 2010 Company Performance Survey. “The Hanover scored among the highest in several categories of PIA’s Company Performance Survey including service, competitive pricing and for providing superior coverage,” said Lisa Nolan, CPCU, president of PIANH. “We are pleased to recognize The Hanover as a strong partner in providing businesses in New Hampshire with quality coverage.”

“We are honored to have received this award,” said Dick Lavey, northeast regional president at The Hanover. “Over the past several years, we have been on a journey to be the best company partner for independent agents, providing a distinctive product mix, a true commitment to partnership and unparalleled responsiveness and service. We are happy to see that this intense focus is resonating with our agent partners.”

The PIANH Company Awards are presented to those insurers that consistently demonstrate outstanding performance in the eyes of the agents that represent them. Winning companies received high scores on the PIANH Company Performance Survey, which gauges insurance producers’ views of their carriers and gives agents the opportunity to share opinions on their companies’ handling of claims; products and pricing; technology; underwriting and more.

PIANH is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
