PIANJ presents this award to the company representative who best fosters a sound working relationship between insurance agents and companies, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service as a company professional.
“Everyone who has ever worked with Lisa knows how valuable her expertise is in balancing the needs of the independent agent and her company,” said William R. Vowteras, CPIA, PIANJ president. “There is no one more committed to these goals than she is.”
Tepper began her insurance career in 1982, working at Aetna Insurance Co. where she held various marketing positions for the upstate New York region. In 1996, Tepper joined Travelers. In 2001 she was promoted to regional vice president for select accounts and in 2006, was promoted again to regional president of the downstate New York and New Jersey Region. She also served as the regional executive working with local businesses to integrate Travelers and St. Paul companies into one organization.
Active in her community, Tepper is on the board of trustees for Molloy College in Rockville Centre, N.Y. and also serves on the board of directors for the New York Chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
PIANJ is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
